Alpina Raggi S.p.A. is a traditional Italian company founded in 1926 by Guido Cappellotto in Laorca (Lecco). From the very beginning, Alpina specialized in the development and manufacture of spokes and nipples for bicycles and motorcycles – a product segment that still forms the core of the brand today.
As early as 1935, the company moved its headquarters to Arcore (Monza e Brianza). Since 1990, its headquarters have been in Lomagna (Lecco), where Alpina Raggi now produces and develops on an area of around 12,000 m². From here, the company supplies customers all over the world.

Revolution in Spoked Wheel Construction: Alpina Tubeless Systems
A technological milestone followed in 2005 with the development of a revolutionary tubeless system for spoked wheels. For the first time, Alpina succeeded in reliably transferring the advantages of tubeless tire technology to classic spoked wheels.
Initially used in racing, the system quickly established itself in the road and adventure sectors as a high-quality and technically mature solution.
Today, Alpina offers two tubeless systems:
Alpina STS – Standard Tubeless System
- Sealing via O-rings on each nipple
- Proven system for numerous applications
Alpina STS2 – Advanced Tubeless System
- Two O-rings per nipple
- Used exclusively with forged rim rings without weld seams
- Maximum concentricity, lower weight, highest sealing performance
Both systems are internationally considered the benchmark in tubeless spoked wheel construction.
